Blight Light runs on three kinds of money. Chimera Coins (CC) are the main currency, and they never wipe. Blight Fragments are the Blight's own currency, spent on boss fights. Scrap is the everyday Rust currency, and it wipes with the map.
The economy is built so that one activity pays for another. Grow flowers and sell them, sell the components you do not need, then spend the coins on the content you actually want to play.

Chimera Coins (CC)#
What they are#
- CC is the server's main currency. It never wipes: your balance carries through every monthly wipe.
- Every new account starts with 1,000 CC.
- Type
/balance, or open/bank, to see how many you have. Both show the same balance as the Black Market.
Note: A few chat messages still say RP or "coins", but they all mean Chimera Coins. There is only one balance.
Coins in your pocket vs coins in your balance#
Some things pay you in Chimera Coin items (a paper item named "chimera coin"): selling to the server, every military crate (10 to 20 coins each), and cashing out at an ATM. Coin items sit in your inventory. You can't spend them until they are back in your balance:
- Type
/depositand put them in, or - Use an ATM in the bank building and choose cash in.
Warning: Coin items are ordinary items. If you die carrying them, they stay on your body with the rest of your loot. Bank them as soon as you can.
How to earn CC#
| Source | How it works | More info |
|---|---|---|
| Starting balance | 1,000 CC on your first join | |
| Selling to the server | The stock market buys 46 kinds of resources for CC | This page |
| Military crates | 10 to 20 coin items in every one | Loot & Drops |
| Monument crews | Many crews pay CC for every kill | Exploration |
| Blight creatures | Each kind pays coins when you kill it | Bestiary |
| Night zombies | 20 to 150 coins each, by tier | Night Zombies |
| ZLevels | Every level-up pays 8 CC times your new level | Progression |
| Heli signals | Shooting down a heli you called pays CC | Heli |
| Dungeons | CC for every kill, and a clear bonus for the buyer | Dungeons |
| Contests and Honey Drop | 750, 400 and 200 CC for the contest top 3; 500 CC for a Honey Drop win | World Events, Minigames |
| Voting, quests and The Offering | CC rewards along the way | Rewards, Quests, The Offering |
| Other players | Players can send you CC | This page |
How to spend CC#
- The Black Market shop. Recyclers, test generators, advanced farm blocks, medicine, weapons, food and event resources. Full price list below.
- Calling your own content. Heli signals and bought raids cost CC. See Heli and Raidable Bases.
- Your backpack. Its fourth row costs 5,000 CC. See below.
- Kits. See Kits.
Blight Fragments#
Blight Fragments are a real item (a skull named "Blight Fragment") that stacks to 500.
- Earn them in the hourly Blights (siphoning and kills), from journal quests and the Blight Pass. See Blight Events.
- Spend them on boss fights in the arena:
/buyboss, from free (the World Breaker) to 50 fragments. Carry them in your inventory when you buy. See Bosses & the Arena.
Scrap#
Scrap still matters. Blueprints wipe every month, and Scrap pays for:
- Normal Rust progression: research, the tech tree and workbenches.
- The vending machines listed below.
- RaidMe and some crafting. See RaidMe and Crafting.
- Turning Scrap into CC: the stock market buys Scrap for 1 to 3 CC each.
Event resources#
| Resource | What it is for | Buy in the shop | Sell to the stock market |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duct Tape | Buying Dungeons, and some crafting | 1,000 CC | 50 to 75 CC |
| Bleach | The Offering asks for it | 1,000 CC | 50 to 75 CC |
| Sticks | The Offering asks for it | 500 CC | 30 to 45 CC |
Tip: The shop price is far above what the server pays you. Earn these from loot and events instead of buying them one at a time.
Vending machines#
Vending machines take Scrap (a few take resources). Four stand at the Hub, and seven more around the map.

Prices are in Scrap unless the line says otherwise. Open your map and hover the vending icons to find a shop by name. Vending machines are set up per map, so this list can change at a wipe.
Tip: A flower is worth 1 Scrap at the Produce Exchange but 2 to 5 CC on the stock market. For most farmers the stock market is the better deal.
The Black Market#
The Black Market is the server's shop. Open it anywhere with /shop.
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| SHOP | Buy items for CC |
| STOCK MARKET | Sell resources to the server for CC |
| TRANSFER | Send CC to another player |
| DEPOSIT/WITHDRAW | Put coin items into your balance |
/mshop opens the shop directly and /sell opens the sell inventory.
Warning: Don't use the stock market's player offers or its item bank (buying from or selling to other players). They hand items out through a storage the server does not have, so the items are lost. Sell to the server, and trade with players face to face.

Selling to the server#
- Type
/sell, or open/shopand go to STOCK MARKET. - Drop the items into the sell inventory. The panel shows the total you will get.
- Confirm. Chimera Coin items land in your inventory.
- Bank them with
/deposit.
How prices behave:
- Every item has a floor and a ceiling, and its price moves between them.
- Prices update every 30 minutes, on the hour and on the half hour.
- Selling a lot of one item pushes its price down for a while.
- Random demand events can push a price up or down for a short time.
- There is no daily limit on how much you can sell.
Warning: You are paid in whole coins, rounded down. Any part of a coin is lost, and a sale worth less than 1 CC pays nothing at all. Sell cheap items in big stacks, never one at a time.
What the server buys (CC per single item):
| Group | Items and price range |
|---|---|
| Event resources | Bleach 50-75, Duct Tape 50-75, Sticks 30-45 |
| Top components | Targeting Computer 80-180, Rifle Body 45-100, CCTV Camera 40-90, Explosives 40-90, Tarp 35-80 |

Tip: Wood, stone and charcoal are worth almost nothing. Sell components, event resources and farm goods instead.
The bank and your vault#
/bank opens your account anywhere: your balance (the same one the Black Market uses), send coins to another player, and your history (cleared at the wipe). Sending from the bank has no tax and goes straight into the other player's balance.
The bank building has ATMs:
| At an ATM | |
|---|---|
| Cash in | Coin items into your balance. No fee |
| Cash out | Balance into coin items, for trading by hand. A 1% fee on top |
| Vault | Opens your vault |
Your vault is storage that never wipes. It has up to 12 slots. You gain at most 1 new slot per wipe, from the monthly line's Close the Month quest (see Quests). Slots are not sold. What you put in stays through every wipe and can't be raided.
The TRANSFER tab in /shop also sends CC, with a 0.5% tax, as coin items the other player must deposit. The bank is the better way.
Your backpack#
| Open it | The backpack button beside your belt, or /backpack |
| Size | 2 rows (12 slots) to start |
| Row 3 | Unlocks after 10 hours of play time |
| Row 4 | 5,000 CC, once (after row 3). /bpunlock shows both |
| When you die | It stays with you |
| At the wipe | It is kept |
Commands#

Tips#
- Bank coins straight away. Coins in your pocket can be lost. Coins in your balance cannot.
- Sell in batches. Big dumps of one item push its price down. Split very large sales across a few price updates.
- Sell what the market values. Components, event resources and farm goods pay well. Raw wood and stone do not.
- Farming is a steady income. A few advanced planters full of flowers turn into CC every harvest. See Farming.
- Put your best items in the vault. It survives every wipe.
