Loot & Drops

How Blight Light's loot works - the ladder from everyday loot to legendaries, where every kind of special gear drops, luck, the coins in military crates, and how to recycle, trade or sell what you find.

Checked against the live server 6 Oct 2026

Blight Light runs its own loot tables. Crates, barrels, NPCs, events and bosses all have hand-built loot, and the best gear only drops from a few chosen places.

This page explains the rules behind it, so you know where to look for what you want.

At a glance#

Loot tables Custom, server-wide
Special gear Enhanced items, set pieces, named perk legendaries and legendary weapons
Luck Raises every chance at gear. /luck shows every source and your chance. See Gear Luck
Coins in crates Every military crate holds 10 to 20 Chimera Coins. Turn them into balance with /deposit
Recycling Enhanced items and perk legendaries can give enhancement kits
Trading Face to face, paid in coins from /bank
Menus /ip for your perks, /luck for drop chances

The big idea: gear comes from somewhere else#

Gear that helps you with one fight usually drops from a different activity.

The anti-Bradley armour (Bulwark) does not drop from the Bradley. The anti-helicopter armour (Skyguard) does not drop from the helicopter. That stops the closed loop where you farm one event, get gear for that event, and farm it forever.

Instead you get three ways to gear up:

  1. Play other content. Bosses, special places, dungeons, convoys and airdrops all carry gear for other fights.
  2. Trade. Swap what you do not need with players who have what you want.
  3. Buy it. Pay another player in Chimera Coins (CC) for the piece you want.

The ladder#

Step What it is How you spot it
Normal loot Regular Rust items from the custom tables Plain names
Enhanced A normal item that rolled 1 to 3 random perks Name starts with "Enhanced". Check it with /ip
Set piece A custom-skinned piece of one of the 16 gear sets, with fixed perks Set name and a perk banner, for example "Miners Boots"
Named perk legendary A named item with fixed perks, such as Miner's Treasure Unique name and a perk banner
Legendary weapon A custom-skinned weapon with a special power Green Legendary Item tag under the name

Enhanced items roll one perk, then have a 25% chance of a second perk and a 10% chance of a third.

Any container below can hand you an enhanced item the first time you loot it:

Container Chance of an enhanced item
Heli crate 40%
Oil Rig locked crate 40%
Bradley crate 35%
Elite crate 30%
Hackable locked crate 30%
Underwater advanced crate 30%
Military crate 20%
Underwater basic crate 18%
Barrels 5%
Brown loot crate 3%
Tool crate 1.5%

Scientist corpses have a 10% to 25% chance, depending on the scientist. Crafting any item has a 1% chance to make it enhanced.

Chimera Coins in crates#

Every military crate holds 10 to 20 physical Chimera Coins. They are an item until you bank them: type /deposit and put them in to add them to your balance. See Economy.

Recycling gear into upgrades#

  • Enhanced items have a 90% chance per perk to give an enhancement kit when you recycle them. Named perk legendaries give kits too.
  • Use a kit at a furnace: select a furnace to open the enhancement menu, and the kit adds its perk to another item.
  • Legendary weapons recycle like the normal weapon underneath. Think twice: you lose the power.

Trading and selling#

  • Face to face. Meet the other player and swap items by hand. It is the safe way to trade gear.
  • Paying in coins. Send CC from /bank, or cash coins out at a bank ATM and hand them over.
  • Selling to the server. Components, event resources and farm goods sell for CC on the stock market (/sell).

Anything can be traded: legendaries, set pieces, event resources and everyday materials. See Economy.

Tips#

  • Run a mix of content. The gear for your favourite fight usually drops somewhere else.
  • Check /luck before a boss run or a crate route. It shows your real chances, luck included.
  • Open /ip to see exactly what your worn and held gear is giving you.
  • Recycle enhanced junk you will never use. Its kits can put the perk you want on the item you want.
  • Check the Economy page before you sell. A rare piece can be worth far more to another player than to a vendor.
