A gear set is a group of custom-skinned clothing and armour. Every piece carries fixed perks, and the perks of every piece you wear add together. Wear the whole set and the totals are big: a full Miners set mines +75% more ore.
There are 16 sets. Eleven are everyday sets for gathering, crafting and staying alive, found in ordinary crates and barrels. Five are combat sets, carried by bosses, special places and airdrops.

How sets work#
- Each piece shows its perks. A real piece has a banner listing its perks and their values.
- Worn pieces add up. Three Miners pieces at +10% each give +30% mining yield.
- Only worn pieces count. A piece in your bag or backpack does nothing.
- Sets mix. A Miners chestplate and Lumberjacks boots give you both perks.
- Some pieces share a body slot. A chestplate and a road sign jacket both cover your chest, so you can't wear both. The tables list which pieces each set has.
Note: Dungeon boxes and the Arc drone event's own crates also drop pieces with set names and looks. Those are look-alikes: they carry no perks (no banner), though Bulwark and Skyguard look-alikes still count toward the set's damage protection. Real pieces come from the sources in the tables below.

Perk legendaries stack too#
Named perk legendaries (on Legendary Weapons) and enhanced items (normal items that rolled random perks) work the same way. Every item carrying the same perk adds up with your set pieces. A Miners set and a Miner's Treasure pickaxe both count.
Tips#
- Build one set at a time. Five pieces of one set do far more than five mixed pieces.
- Keep two outfits: a gathering set for farming runs and a combat set for fights.
- Going after the Bradley or the helicopter? Five Bulwark pieces or a full Skyguard set turns a deadly fight into an easy one.
- Trade spare pieces. Someone always needs the Miners boots you keep finding. See Economy.
