A Raidable Base is a real Rust base, built by someone else, full of loot and defended by turrets and traps. You buy one with Chimera Coins (CC), it appears in the raid area, and you raid it like any other base. Everything inside is yours.
Bought raids are PvE and locked to you and your team, so nobody can steal your raid.

Step 1: buy a raid#
Type /buyraid. A menu opens with one button per difficulty and its price. Click one. Or type it directly:
| Difficulty | Command | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Easy | /buyraid easy |
100 CC |
| Medium | /buyraid medium |
200 CC |
| Hard | /buyraid hard |
300 CC |
| Expert | /buyraid expert |
400 CC |
| Nightmare | /buyraid nightmare |
500 CC |
The CC comes out of your balance. Need more? See Economy.
You can own one bought raid at a time. Chat tells you the grid where your base spawned, and your name shows on its map marker.
Step 2: get there#
Bought bases spawn on a set of plots in the raid area, not next to your home.
- Type
/raidto teleport to the raid area, or pick it in the teleport menu (/arena). - The warm-up is 15 seconds. Moving more than 1 m or taking damage cancels it. The same destination has a 5 minute cooldown. Every teleport rule is on Quality of Life.
- You cannot teleport directly inside a raid dome.
Step 3: raid it#
- The base sits inside a dome. Your raid is locked to you and your allies, and it is PvE: no one can shoot you there.
- Every door, box and the tool cupboard has a code lock with a random code. You have to break in. Bring explosives, or tools for eco raiding.
- You can place ladders, barricades and your own tool cupboard. You cannot upgrade the base's walls or pick up its deployables.
- Fire does not spread.
- Resources are packed into the base's tool cupboard. Weapons go on weapon racks. Food and cookables go into ovens, fridges and barbecues.
- The raid is complete when every loot box has been emptied. After that, the base despawns in 15 minutes.
Note: No NPC guards defend the bases right now. The danger is the turrets and traps.
What changes per difficulty#
| Difficulty | Base designs | Typical walls | Auto turrets (average) | Loot stacks in the base |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 70 | Mostly stone, some wood | None | 130 |
| Medium | 60 | Stone and sheet metal | About 8 | 180 |
| Hard | 60 | Mostly sheet metal, some armoured | About 24 | 200 |
| Expert | 10 | Mostly armoured | About 44 | 235 |
| Nightmare | 10 | All armoured | About 79 | 265 |
- Easy bases have their auto turrets removed when they spawn. You still face gun traps and the odd flame turret.
- Each base turret has 1,000 health and sees 30 m.
- Most bases also have 1 to 3 gun traps.
- Higher difficulties hide their loot deeper, behind more layers and more turrets.

Raids pay no CC. When a raid completes, every raider gets skill XP:
| Difficulty | Skill XP for each raider |

| Hard | 750 |
| Expert | 1,000 |
| Nightmare | 2,500 |
The base contents are the real reward. See Loot and Progression.
Time limits and giving up#
- If nobody damages the base for 45 minutes, it despawns. Every hit resets that timer.
- Once it is fully looted, it despawns 15 minutes later.
- There are no refunds. If your base despawns before you finish, the CC is gone.
Cooldowns and the ladder#
- After you complete a raid, you wait 30 minutes before buying another raid of the same difficulty.
/rbshows the top raiders this wipe./rb lifetimeshows the all-time board.
Note: If you own a Cooldown Reset Token, type
/resetcdto clear your event cooldowns, including Raidable Bases.
Tips#
- Your first raid should be Easy. At 100 CC it is cheap, and it teaches you how the domes, code locks and traps work.
- Loot explosives as you find them and use them on the next layer.
- Kill turrets from outside their 30 m sight range, or break walls to reach them from behind.
- Empty every box. The raid only completes when all loot is taken.
- Carry wooden ladders and a few barricades. You can place both inside the dome, no cupboard needed.
